Rest as needed between efforts.
Spend at least 10 minutes in a general warm-up to elevate the heart rate and warm the muscles. Go to Exercise & Demos and search “running drills” to use as part of the warm-up and skill practice before executing this workout. Run the first of the 5 sprints at about 80% effort, the 6 and 7 at about 90% effort, and go hard on the last 3. Log times for each sprint.
Post best and worst times to comments.

Beginner:

Rest as needed between efforts.
The rounds are decreased to ensure each effort takes no more than 10 seconds off the last effort. If able to maintain this time domain, execute all 10 sets. Spend at least 10 minutes in a general warm-up to elevate the heart rate and warm the muscles. Running is a skill and needs to be practiced. Spend time doing running drills before the sprints.
