A CrossFit Introductory class is the best way to get a taste of CrossFit. This class includes a warm-up, workout, cool-down and a Q&A session about CrossFit and what we offer at Surf Athletics CrossFit.
On-Ramp

This course will introduce new athletes to the fundamental movements of CrossFit, in a fun group setting, or a private 1-on-1class. We include coaching of functional movements and nutrition suggestions to fuel your fitness.

IS CROSSFIT FOR ME?
Absolutely! CrossFit has been able to teach anyone who can care for themselves to perform safely, and with maximum efficiency, the same movements typically utilized by professional coaches in elite environments.

What if I don't want to be an Athlete; I just want to be healthy?
The CrossFit view is that fitness and health are the same thing. It is also interesting to notice that the health professional maintains your health with drugs and surgery, whereas the CrossFit Coach typically achieves a superior result... with a side-BENEFIT not a side-EFFECT.
Examples of CrossFit exercises
There isn't a strength and conditioning program anywhere that works with a greater diversity of tools, modalities, and drills...
Biking, running, swimming, and rowing in an endless variety of drills; The Olympic lifts, squat, deadlift, push-press, bench-press, and power-clean; Jumping, medicine ball throws and catches, pull-ups, dips, push-ups, body-weight gymnastic movements; We make regular use of bikes, the track, rowing ergs, plyo boxes, medicine balls, and jump ropes.
Will CrossFit make me lose weight/bodyfat?
YES. If you push yourself and change your diet. Diet will be 80% of success or failure. Combine a healthy diet with CrossFit and within 30 days you'll start to look better, get stronger, and feel better.
What should I eat?
Base your diet on garden vegetables, lean meats, nuts and seeds, little starch, and no sugar. That's about as simple as we can get. Start eating REAL food. If you follow these simple guidelines you will benefit from nearly all that can be achieved through nutrition.
What Foods Should I Avoid?
High glycemic carbohydrates are those that raise blood sugar too rapidly, causing fat storage. They include rice, bread, candy, potato, sweets, sodas, and most processed carbohydrates.
